Abstract

CONCLUSION. ABSTRACT: The research is focused on the vulnerability analysis of rain floods in the area called "Intersection of Chaparrastique Street End with Roosevelt Avenue in the city of San Miguel." It begins with the collection of information on the area to be studied, followed by field visits for the subsequent topographic survey with a total station and drone to obtain an orthophoto of the El Amate micro-basin, the characterization of the Urbana El Amate micro-basin and the hydraulic simulation, subsequently a survey is carried out to obtain data for the vulnerability analysis. OBJECTIVES. Study the vulnerability and determine the risk level originated by the rain floods of the city of San Miguel at the intersection of the final Chaparrastique street with Roosevelt avenue, establishing the geomorphological and hydric parameters for the generation of a field database with in order to describe the state of the El Amate micro-basin. METHODOLOGY. Pre-Field Stage. Bibliographic or documentary analysis: Consultation and analysis of specialized bibliographies, guaranteeing knowledge of the background and current status of the subject and identifying information that may be useful to the work to be developed. The information related to the areas that have historically been flooded in the territory under study will be compiled, with the cartographic delimitation of the historical flood limit. Field Stage. The collection of information that is not available (cartographic, numerical and literal) must be carried out. In addition, field verification or validation of the results will be carried out. Post-Field Stage. The information collected (cartographic, numerical and literal) in the previous two stages will be analyzed and processed with the working group, as well as its results and recommendations. Use of Geographic Information Systems (GIS): GIS will be used as a necessary tool to bring all the information available to digital format, with a geospatial database assigned for each thematic layer treated, thereby guaranteeing greater cartographic precision to the time to perform the analyzes. The information obtained from the characterization of the hydrographic basin will be analyzed and processed using specialized software. CONCLUSION. The characterization of the hydrographic basin in the research includes the physical characteristics of the basin under study and through these characteristics it was possible to describe its behavior and the problems that arise in a storm. - The methodology of the Mexican Institute of Water Technology IMTA (2015) is implemented to make the risk map at the end of Chaparrastique street with intersection with Roosevelt avenue, in which vehicle and housing vulnerability is analyzed taking into account the simulation hydraulics of the El Amate micro-basin
